'The Blacklist' Season 3 Spoilers: Upcoming Episodes to Explore Red and Liz’ Relationship

Despite the fact that 'The Blacklist' has already been aired for two seasons, fans of this crime television drama series are yet to comprehend the relationship shared by Red and Liz. As a result, there are rumors that Season 3 of the show will deal with this unsolved aspect.

According to Christian Today, even Liz is as confused as the fans of 'The Blacklist.' In an interview with Zap2it, actress Megan Boone revealed the type of feelings Red has toward her character Liz and what the fans can expect in Season 3.

Sharing her personal insight of the subject, Boone said, "I think people see how much Red loves her, and it is a confusing kind of love," Boone acknowledged. "I think that will have to be answered. How do you love someone that deeply - no matter what the circumstances, but especially when the circumstances are mysterious?"

Although Boone acknowledged that maybe, Liz "loves" Red, this is not something romantic. She told the website, "I don't necessarily think it's a love story between Liz and Reddington, even though there are people out there that really feel that's what they want."

Fans who have been watching the crime television drama regularly is aware of the fact that love life is not a priority to Liz, who is engrossed in her quest to discover her real identity. In 'The Blacklist' Season 2 finale, fans saw Liz remembering glimpses of her past. The episode revealed that she had shot her father to protect her mother.

According to Crossmap, the other reason for Red's over-protectiveness and strong urge to keep Liz out of any potential is that he may be her biological father or possibly a brother or an uncle.

'The Blacklist' Season 3 is likely to premiere this fall on NBC. Carter Matt is of the view that when the show returns, there will be a new baddie who will feature throughout the season. The new villain's special skill is to escape from his crimes as well as Red's attention.
