‘The Blacklist' Latest News: Season 3 Premiere Pushed Back One Week, Show to Return on Oct. 1

The premiere date of 'The Blacklist,' American crime drama television series on NBC, has been pushed back by a week from Sept. 24 to Oct. 1. The premiere has been delayed owing to the release of 'Heroes' remake 'Heroes Reborn,' which is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 24 and its opening episode will extended to two hours, reports Variety.

Christian Today quoted NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt saying that fans would certainly prefer an extended premiere of 'Heroes Reborn.'

In the meantime, 'The Blacklist' Season 2 finale was a rather emotional episode, which makes fan expect something very interesting to come up in the next season. According to Megan Boone, who portrays Elizabeth 'Liz' Keen in the series, fans can certainly expect something "very different" when 'The Blacklist' returns for Season 3.

In an interview with Zap2iT, Boone shared that while the show still maintains the same characters, it will bring a "very different dynamic," as her character is no longer related to the law enforcement. In fact, fans are already aware that Liz and her partner Raymond Reddington aks Red, portrayed by James Spader, will turn out to be fugitives of the FBI.

In 'The Blacklist' Season 2, viewer saw FBI listing Liz as most wanted, and her colleagues were very determined to capture her. Considering this dilemma, Liz will only have to depend on Red to help save her and ensure her survival.
