“The Bible” Miniseries on the History Channel Episode 2 Sneak Preview [VIDEO]
The "Bible" miniseries on History Channel dominated ratings last Sunday night. Now Christians are excited for episode two.
This Sunday the series tackles the action packed stories of Samson and Delilah, the Ark of the Covenant, Saul, and David defeating Goliath.
Created by Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice, Celebrity Apprentice) and his wife Roma Downey (Touched By An Angel), "The Bible" is a 10-part series that sheds new light on some of the greatest stories ever told, bridging together the Old Testament with the New Testament, from Genesis to Revelation.
Last Sunday's episode, "Beginnings," centered on Adam and Eve's original sin and fall from the Garden of Eden, Noah's Ark, Abraham and Isaac, and Moses leading the Jewish slaves to freedom. Sparing no expense, the parting of the seas scene was definitely a highlight of the episode.
Last Sunday, "The Bible" became the most watched show on television of the year with 14.8 million viewers.
"We know God moved last night," Downey said in a statement following the successful premiere. "People of all denominations showed the power that can be unleashed in our culture when we band together, individual believers with a shared purpose and vision. The world is won when the church is one."
You can catch the stories of Samson and Delilah, the Ark of the Covenant, Saul, and David defeating Goliath (and hopefully some more ninja angel fight scenes) in episode two of "The Bible" airing Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on History Channel. The two-hour episodes will continue every Sunday until the series finale on Easter Sunday, March 31.
