'The Bible' on History Channel: Episode 4 Preview [VIDEO]

History Channel's epic new series The Bible will air its 4th episode Sunday, March 24th. Episode 4, "Mission" will feature the beginning of the peak of the Christian revolution, the formation of Jesus' disciples, Judas' betrayal, Pontius Pilate, and inevitably Jesus' arrest and Crucifixion conclusion on Easter Sunday.

The ratings juggernaut aired the arrival of Jesus in last week's episode 3. Focusing much of the episode on Jewish captivity under Babylonian rule, episode 3, "Survial/Hope" featured the stories of Zedekiah, Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel. Part 2 jumped to Roman occupation, the birth and beginning of Christ, John the Baptist and Peter.

Taking a ratings hit after episode 2, "Homeland" The Bible is once again the most-watched show on television following episode 3. Last Sunday night, 10.9 million viewers tuned in, with 4.2 million adults 25-54, and 3.5 million adults 18-49. According to a statement from History Channel, The Bible has now reached over 68 million viewer since its March 3rd premiere. Between History Channel and re-runs on Lifetime, the 68 million viewers spans across 18 telecasts.

Married producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey can be sure to expect the highest ratings are bound to come with the most iconic scene from the Bible: Jesus' death and Crucifixion airing episode 5 Easter Sunday.
