The Bachelorette 2014 Season 10 Spoilers: How Will Reality Show Acknowledge Eric Hill Death?
Even though filming of "The Bachelorette 2014" has been wrapped up and will have a premiere date of May 19 at 8 p.m. ET, numerous questions remain unanswered, especially the manner in which ABC will deal with the death of contestant Eric Hill in Season 10.
A few weeks after he left the show, the 32-year-old contestant Eric Hill passed away on April 23 following a paragliding accident wherein he sustained critical injuries.
A report in the Us Weekly quotes Eric as saying, "I remember wanting to see every country in the world since I was in kindergarten."
The contestant then goes on to say, "Of course there is sadness and injustice in the world, but I want to focus on the good...the awesomeness that exists in every country I visit."
The creator, writer and producer of the hit show Mike Fleiss has already thought about how the show should present Eric's footage on the final episode of the season. Talking to E! News, he said, "We're all just devastated. He was such a vibrant, young dude. He was. It's tragic."
Fleiss continued, "He was such a young guy who lived life to the fullest. I couldn't believe it when I heard. I'm still in shock. We're all in shock. This transcends everything, certainly a television show."
Although Eric made it through to the Santa Barbara group date in Episode 3, he was eliminated in Connecticut in Episode 4. Although Reality Steve does not reveal anything regarding Eric's exit in his blog, it is assumed that something drastic occurred a day prior to the Rose Ceremony, which made Andi ask Eric to pack his bags immediately.
No doubt, Eric's death has been a tragic one and, now, it remains to be seen how the show acknowledges him. Whatever may be the case, fans will surely remember him for many years to come.
