'The Bachelor' Season 18 Couple Juan Pablo Galvais and Nikki Ferrell Break Up
On October 27, Nikki Ferrell and Juan Pablo Galvais broke up. Sources told US Magazine that the two, who had met during the 18th season of 'The Bachelor', had been having difficulties for some time. Things got worse for the duo after they appeared together on VH1's 'Couples Therapy'.
"Juan and Nikki have been fighting," one insider says. The one to initiate the break up was 27-year-old Ferrell, the source adds, noting, "It was not mutual."
Another insider told US Magazine that the pair wanted different things, which often causes difficulties in a relationship. "Everything Nikki wanted, he didn't," the source notes, "She wanted to settle down and he didn't."
The same source then accused Juan of not putting any effort in the relationship after the couple's appearance on 'Couples Therapy'.
"I don't think he ever said 'I love you' to her," the insider said, which was a big struggle between the pair on the VH1 counseling reality show. At one point, Ferrell had burst into tears and questioned why she was in a relationship "if they're not giving you 100 percent?"
A source close to Galvias said, "They were not seeing eye to eye on anything. Juan wanted Nikki in Miami. Nikki didn't want to leave her family, friends, or job. Meanwhile, Juan wouldn't even consider going to Kansas."
"Nikki felt like she was doing all the work in the relationship, and that Juan expected her to join his life," another source told US Magazine. "She couldn't get him to compromise at all." The insider added, "He didn't put Nikki's priorities first and she had enough."
To make matters worse, according to yet another source, Galvais didn't love Ferrell, but was hoping to capitalize on their 15 minutes of fame.
"The main reason Juan stayed with Nikki was to spite all the haters who thought they would break up, and to stay relevant so he could promote himself," the insider told US Magazine, "Juan wants to be a soccer or baseball commentator, and also a manager for high-profile Latin athletes."
