The Amazing Spider-Man 2 makes appearance at Comic Con 2013

This week's highly anticipated Comic-Con is set to reveal some big spills about "The Amazing Spiderman 2", directed by Marc Webb. in Webb's web, he's collected a powerful team of A-listers to continue his strong remake of the Spiderman series. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield will be returning as Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker. Stone's presence in the sequel have left some fans frustrated, wondering when the arrival of Spidey's true love, Mary Jane Watson, will have her big screen appearance. Although the mythology of Spiderman consist of a slew of girlfriends from college students to an NYPD officer, fans historically know Parker as having eyes for only Mary Jane.

Jamie Foxx will be joining the story-line as Electro. Electro made his first appearance in the Amazing Spider-Man #9 and has since risen in comic-book hall of fame as one of the best super-villains of all time, but has never been depicted in film. Maxwell Dillion was an electrical engineer who got caught in a freak electrocution accident that turned him into Electro, a powered-up villain bent on using his new-found skills to defend his inner-loser by destroying those from his past that bullied him.

Fans will learn more about Paul Giamatti's highly anticipated port rail of The Rhino, and Superman's best bud, Harry Osborn, will also be added to the series, played by Dane DeHaan.

The new installation, 2 of 4 set to film in the remake, will debut at the beginning of summer 2014 blockbusters, on May 2. As Comic-Con rounds out its summer tour with the ever-anticipated San Diego conference, fans can expect big reveals about the new Spidey-Movie. Many are hoping that the official title of the movie will be released that sheds light on Webb's original story-line. Webb's retelling of the tired story of Spidey's origins in last year's Amazing Spiderman successfully re-invented the franchise. Now Webb has an unprecedented opportunity to tell a new story with the endeared character, and fans are hoping that leads to the storyline will be revealed this Thursday at Comic-Con. We can also expect to learn about any Easter Eggs, and any leads that imply a future super-powered team-up with other superheroes in future movies.
