Two Houston Texans Security Guards Fired for Photo with Tom Brady After Sunday's Game
Two Houston Texans stadium security guards lost their jobs for snapping a photo of themselves with new England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Part-time employees at Reliant Stadium, Joel Williams and Christopher Moore were fired by Contemporary Services Corporation Monday for requesting a shot with Brady after the game on Sunday.
By all reports Williams was a very hard worker and understands that his job was to help keep his area secure and not to take pictures with the players, even if one of them happens to be one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.
After completing his rounds on the way to leave the complex Brady, dressed in suit and tie, walked by prompting Williams to ask for a shot.
"Immediately after I took the picture, I got ran down by a supervisor," Williams said. "They didn't really give a reason, they said you know you're wrong and you're fired."
Moore on the other felt like him and Williams were scapegoated for something that is pretty commonplace before and after games.
"What they say and what they practice are two different things," Moore said, "What we see on a daily basis, whether it be Reliant or CSC employees, is them taking picture and asking for autographs from players."
CSC maintains that requesting autographs or photos is strictly against company policy and insists on immediate termination of violators.
