Teresa & Joe Giudice Cut from ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’; Couple Sells House Before Sentencing
'Real Housewives of New Jersey' couple Teresa and Joe Giudice are now facing the possibility of imprisonment following a pending case of multiple fraud, hiding assets, and bankruptcies. Prior to the scheduled sentencing on September 23, the Giudices are now selling their house for $3.99 million, a luxury pad purchased in 2002.
The RHONJ stars are both charged with conspiring with illegal lenders and mortgage brokers. This also includes a 39-count indictment of mail and wire fraud and falsification of loan application documents from which the Giudices acquired more than $5 million, E! Online reported.
Joe also failed to file tax returns from 2004 to 2008, which allowed him to get hold of $1 million unauthorized earnings.
Joe faces 37 to 46 months of imprisonment while his wife might serve 21 to 27 months in jail.
"Today, I took responsibility for a series of mistakes I made several years ago..." Teresa said after rendering guilty plea, "I will describe the choices I made, continue to take responsibility for my decisions, and express my remorse to Judge Salas and the public. I am heartbroken that this is affecting my family-especially my four young daughters, who mean more to me than anything in the world."
Radar Online reported that while Teresa's father-in-law died unexpectedly, the 42-year-old actress threw a $50,000 birthday party for her daughter. Teresa also allegedly bragged that she will not spend a day in jail for the prosecutor will certainly favor her being a mother of four and that she will allegedly blame Joe for everything.
