'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Movie 2014 Cast News: Release Date For Sequel Confirmed by Paramount Pictures (SPOILERS VIDEO)

The release date for the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' sequel has just been revealed in a recent statement by Paramount Pictures.

"Launching a new take on the Turtles into the feature film world was a daunting task because as fans of them ourselves, we felt a great responsibility to ensure audiences were going to experience everything they loved about the Turtles, while also getting to see them brought to life in a way they had never been seen before," said Paramount Film Group President Adam Goodman in an announcement.

Goodman furthered his excitement towards releasing a sequel to the popular film franchise, "The result exceeded our high expectations and the response to the film is beyond great, making it all the more fun to get started on the continuation of their story."

The newly released film stars Megan Fox (April O'Neil), Will Arnett (Vern Fenwick), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello) and 'The View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg as Bernadette Thompson.

This film is the first live action movie since the release of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III' (1993) in cinemas.

Unlike the previous two movies in the original movie trilogy ('Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' [1990] and 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze' [1991]), the third film was considered by many critics and fans as a cinematic disaster.

Now, the movie reboot has so far made $65 million dollars in the box office, and the film company is hoping the upcoming sequel will do even better than the film that was just released on August 8.

"The X factor was that families turned out in a really big way," said Paramount Domestic Marketing and Distribution President Megan Colligan on August 10, according to the LA Times, "Certainly with the hit [animated] TV show and a very popular property, kids were enthusiastic. The key for us was getting parents to be as enthusiastic. And they were."

The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot sequel will arrive in in U.S. theaters on June 3, 2016.
