Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Release Date, Trailer, Plot Rumors: Foot Clan Engulf City in Darkness
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise is set to hit the big screen again in its new installment coming to theaters August 8, 2014. Producers Scott Mednic, Galen Walker and Michael Bay are excited to debut the franchise's fifth film and keep the classic crime-fighting turtle series alive.
The film was originally set to premiere in 2011, but was pushed back until this 2014. Fans hope the three year delay added the content and quality that was missing in the first place.
The plot of the film has already been confirmed, turtlepedia.wikia.com writes, "The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan."
The film has a powerhouse cast starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, K. Todd Freeman, Danny Woodburn, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, and Minae Noji.
Speculation places the movie as one of the bigger blockbusters appearing this year. The Studio hired Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol writers Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec to write the script for the film.
Bay stated per turtlepedia.wikia.com, "The Turtles were the same as fans remember and regardless of the title change they still act like teenagers. He urged everyone to give everybody who was involved a chance, as they had the fans interest at top priority and would not let anybody down," he said.
