The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' movie release date is rumored to be June 3, 2016. The latest 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' was released August 8 and made over $60 million in its first week.

Rumor has it that this time around the Turtles will be heading into Dimension X. For those that don't know, this is where the origins of the transformation of the characters happened. If the Ninja Turtles do end up in Dimension X, then they will most likely have to face off against some other super powerful mutants.

While there is no official word about the plot of the sequel, one thing is for sure, the writers of the latest movie will be coming back for the second installment. This means that Michael Bay will return with his Platinum Dunes partners, and Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec.

According to Mstars News, director Jonathan Liebsman and producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form could introduce fan-favorite characters into the sequel. While production is still in talks about that, the movie stands a chance to incorporate Krang, Casey Jones, Bebop, and Rocksteady.

Andrew Form said, "We're just finishing the movie but we all wish that we could put everything into the movie. We all have other characters that we wish we could have had in this movie...Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady. We had those conversations throughout development of this movie but we're launching this movie now in two weeks...hopefully everybody feels the same way we do. we love them."
