‘Teen Wolf’ Renewed for Season 5: Dylan Sprayberry Joins Cast as Series Regular

Though "Teen Wolf' is still in the middle of its fourth season, it has been officially confirmed that the show has been renewed for a fifth season. The announcement was made at the MTV Hit's panel at Comic-Con on Thursday. Fans of the show will be happy to know that Season 5 will have a bumped-up order of 20 episodes, rather than the usual 12-episodes.

It has also been confirmed that Dylan Sprayberry, who plays new werewolf Liam, will be part of the cast as a series regular in the fifth season. Fans of "Teen Wolf' can attest to Sprayberry's significant amount of screen time in the show's current season, making the actor's promotion a given. Executive producer Jeff Davis also mentioned how much the cast has enjoyed working with the "Man of Steel' actor.

In an interview with E! News, Davis said, "Tyler [Posey] and Dylan [O'Brien] are in love with [Sprayberry]. They have some really great scenes together, so I'm really hopeful that fans like him as much as we like him. He's such a good kid and he's a great actor."

Sprayberry seemed to be very pleased with the new development and shared how much he has been enjoying his time on the MTV hit show, bonding with the rest of the cast and engaging in weird conversations with them.

"We have so much fun. We do crazy stuff all the time and they're just like me, so there's never a dull moment and we're always talking about random funny things. Tyler and I, we talk about poop. We don't describe it in detail, but we talk about it in the general sense," he said.

"Teen Wolf' airs Monday at 10pm on MTV.
