Tebow Teams With Up With Ludacris On New Headphones

Though Tim Tebow may never have another starting quarterback job in the NFL, he can still milk the brand a little longer at least. Thursday, January 17th, 2013 Tebow joined the boutique headphones business by announcing his own signature series with the highly successful Dr. Dre Beats line.

At this year's International CES conference in Las Vegas Tebow announced two types of headphones that he designed with Grammy Award winning rapper and Soul Electronics founder, Ludacris. (Mashable).

The first of the two is the SL300 by Tim Tebow. It will be part of his Combat+ line. It has heavy-duty noise canceling technology that is designed for athletes and people in loud, stressful environments. The second style of headphone is garnering a bit more attention. Designed for convenient airplane travel, Tebow announced the Jet.

Ironically, Tebow is coming off a season with the New York Jets where he only started 2 games, an all-time low in his college and professional career.

There's a good chance he'll be released in the offseason and won't be signed by another team. That could explain the sudden entrepreneurial side of Tebow. Needless to say him and Ludacris may want to start thinking of a new name for the headphones.

The Tim Tebow signature SL300 is light and portable and includes a sweat and tangle resistant audio cable with onboard Apple input controls.

Soul Electronics CEO, Lan Kennedy-Davis says, "this series goes beyond great music...for us, it's about achieving greatness, and Tim Tebow stands for greatness."
