A 2013 interview with a back-up dancer confirms the conflict between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. This answers many of the questions fans have about an alleged feud between the two.

In an interview with Rolling Stones, Swift revealed that her song "Bad Blood" is about a fellow female artist with whom she had a conflict with.

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?," said Swift.

According to Swift, the female artist "did something horrible" last year that she ended up realizing that the female artist is not her friend.

"I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it," Swift revealed.

Although the country singer refused to drop names, fans have narrowed the candidates down to Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. However, an interview from a back-up dancer that worked for both Swift and Perry somehow revealed that the female artist that inspired "Bad Blood" is indeed Katy Perry.

In an interview with The Examiner in 2013, Lockheart Brownlie revealed what happened between the two stars.

"I was with Taylor for the first six months," Brownlie said.

"It was a great experience and she's a great person to work with, but then Katy contacted us. Obviously we were with Katy for 2 and a half years, she's like family to us. So we were like, 'Absolutely.' We weren't really dancing in Taylor's tour anyway, so I had got a little bored and really wanted to do a promo tour," added Brownlie.

The "Part of Me" singer's offer made Brownlie and two of his fellow dancers to leave Swift in the middle of her tour. Brownlie also revealed that the experiences from working with Perry and Swift are completely different.

"Taylor is very untouchable. When we did see her, we had so much fun with her, but she's a lot more protected than Katy. Katy's 28 now and can do her own thing. Her team is so lovely, so we have such a good connection. And this time around, she is a lot more in control," said Brownlie.

Despite Swift saying that the feud between her and her fellow artist is about business and with Brownlie revealing his story, netizens still speculate that the real reason behind the feud between the two pop stars is no other than John Meyer, the man that Perry and Swift dated in the past.
