Taylor Swift News: Alleged Stalker Gets Hit with Restraining Order, 'I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life' (VIDEO)
Pop Star Taylor Swift has acquired a restraining order against a man who believes he is married to the young singer.
The 24-year-old vocalist filed legal documents which stated that Timothy Sweet has been allegedly stalking her ever since 2011, sending dozens of emails, letters and social media posts, in which he professed his love for the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' soloist, according to TMZ.
Mr. Sweet also allegedly sworn to destroy anybody who prevented them from being together, including United States Secretary of State John Kerry. In addition, he reportedly claimed he would carry a gun to defend Swift.
Amongst a number of messages the 33-year-old man allegedly sent to the star, he reportedly said the following statement:
"If anyone in Taylor's family get killed it is not my fault, said Sweet according to a report from TVNZ report. "My wife Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverley Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life."
The songster filed the appeal for the temporary order, which will expire on March 25, at Los Angeles Superior Court, and a judge has ordered Sweet to stay at least 100 yards away from Swift, her mother Andrea, father Scott and younger brother, Austin.
According to TVNZ, Swift said Mr. Sweet's behavior is seriously alarming and harassing" and the relentless messages and phone calls were "extremely distressing to me and my family." In addition, she does not have "a desire to interact with or communicate in any way with Mr. Sweet."
