Taylor Swift New Album / "Red" Singer Talks About New Songs On 5th Studio Album / Max Martin Collaboration on "Strange and Exciting Ideas?"

The "Red" songstress isn't resting on her laurels. She wants a new song and to evolve with her follow up to the album that won her a 6^th "Songwriter/Artist of the Year" award from Nashville's Songwriter's Association International.

The new album will be Swift's 5^th studio endeavor. Swift says to expect the unexpected for her next batch of songs.

"I think the goal for the next album is to continue to change, and never change in the same way twice," she said. "How do I write these figurative diary entries in ways that I've never written them before and to a sonic backdrop that I've never explored before? It's my fifth album, which is crazy to think about, but I think what I'm noticing about it so far is it's definitely taking a different turn than anything I've done before."

Swift confirmed she's been working tirelessly the last six months writing songs for the new album. As much as she may want to, she isn't revealing too much about the writing process or whom she'll be collaborating with.
