Tax Free Weekend August 2014 Dates, Best Deals, Sales for NY, NJ, TN, FL, VA, MD, NM, Texas, Georgia

This month of August is about to see tax free weekends offered in many states; the prominent ones are South Carolina, New Jersey and New York. The states have decided on different weekends to offer tax free shopping on various types of items.

August 1 to 3 are tax free in Alabama for clothing less than $100, computers and software less than $750, school supplies like crayons, rulers and binders less than $50, and books that are less than $30 each.

August 2 to 3 is tax free in Arkansas for clothing less than $100, clothing accessories less than $50 per item, and for school manuals and supplies.

August 17 to 23 are tax free in Connecticut for clothing and footwear less than $300 per item.

The dates August 1 through 3 are tax free in Florida for clothing items less than $100, personal computers and selected computer accessories less than $750 per item, and school supplies that are less than $15 for a single item.

Georgia is tax free from August 1 to 2 on clothing items less than $100, computer components, computer software and computers that are less than $1000 per single item, and school supplies that are less than $20 per item.

The state of lowa is tax free through the first and second of August on clothing and footwear that is less than $100 per item.

The state of Missouri is tax free from August 1 to 3 on clothing that is less than $100 per item, school supplies that are less than $50 per item, computer software that is less than $350 per item, personal computers that are $3500 or less per unit and computer peripherals less than $3500.

Texas is tax free from August 8 until 10 on clothing and footwear less than $100 per item and on school supplies less than $20 per item.
