Sylvester Stallone Death Hoax: 'Rocky' Actor Remains Silent on Rumors He Died

The recent news regarding the death of actor Sylvester Stallone is a hoax. It was reported on August 25, 2014 that the Hollywood actor died in a single vehicle crash between Ipswich and Willowbank in Queensland, but apparently the news came from a satirical website.

The original article states, "Actor Sylvester Stallone died in a single vehicle crash between Ipswich and Willowbank in Queensland as confirmed by Royal Queensland Police - August 25, 2014. The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. (UTC/GMT +10). Sylvester Stallone is believed to have been in the area while on vacation. He was identified by photo ID found at the scene. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident."

The article that shocked news agencies and fans was apparently reported by a fake news generator called There was a page provided on Facebook where people can view the fake video footage of the actor's death and upon liking the page, the user is led to share the news to their Facebook pages which what caused the hoax to spread rapidly.

Many already expressed their grief for the world-renowned actor, but apparently, Stallone himself is alive and well.

The hoax was rather elaborate as it attempted to provide falsified evidence for the death of the 'Rocky' actor. Apparently, a photo taken from a 2013 edition of Journal Star was used to convince various social media users. However, the photo used was actually shows an accident Beatrice, Nebraska that killed a 53-year-old man.

Despite all the hype about his death, Stallone has ignored the hoax and remains silent on the matter.
