‘Supernatural’ Season 10 Release Date, Spoilers: 200th Episode Features Meta Musical Covers

CW's 'Supernatural' is preparing a "musical-ish" celebration for its 200th episode at the premiere of Season 10. Executive producer Jeremy Carver told E! Online that the episode will feature meta-musical presentations of both revival and original songs.

"I think it'll be one of the more amusing and engaging episodes we've done in a while," Carver said, "We're going pretty meta. I would just describe it as something of a love letter to our fans, and there will be songs."

Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester teased that the Season 10 premiere episode is inspired by "The Real Ghostbusters" episode, he said, "We're not at a convention, but we're at a place where they're doing a play based on the Chuck Shurley books. So not only are these books based on our lives, now people are doing a play based on these books, and someone is haunting it, so we go and try to investigate what's going on at this play," Zap2It reported.

Meanwhile, the battle for both heaven and hell will come to a tipping point after Abaddon's death and Metatron's imprisonment in heaven. Carver spoke to Buddy TV about what could be the future of show come Season 10.

"At the beginning of the season, the angels have largely gotten their act together. Metatron is in jail, and the angels who are up there are doing their best to try and work things out. So in terms of stability in heaven, it's as stable as its been in many years," Carver said.

'Supernatural' Season 10 airs on The CW on October 7, 9 pm EST.
