Superman 'Man of Steel' Prequel Starring Russell Crowe? He says He is Open To The Role
Man of Steel, the new Superman movie released in June and has already made close to $600 million worldwide and become one of the summer's top box office draws.
Man of Steel starred Henry Cavill as Superman and featured Russell Crowe as his biological father Jor-El, from planet Krypton.
There has been speculation about a prequel movie since before Man of Steel's release and Crowe took to twitter to show his interest in the potential future project.
Crowe (@russellcrowe) twittered, "A lot of you are asking about a KRYPTON prequel, if that's something you feel strongly about let @Legendary pictures know your thoughts (3:38pm July 5)
He then responded to one of his followers, twittering back, "Just getting sick of reading the same question mate, however, if it came up, I'd give the tights another go."
So it looks like Russell Crowe would be on board to star in a Krypton prequel, which the fans will be happy to hear.
Also, making the Superman fans happy, is that the movie looks to have already gotten the go-ahead and will have director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer back for the new movie.
There are rumors that the next Superman movie could be out as early as 2014.
Russell Crowe's next movie will the Darren Aronorsky's Noah.
