Super Smash Bros 4's latest Pic of the Day brings the game back to the 3DS version and showcases the all new Pokemon X and Y stage.

The picture features Lumiose City, the central hub for the Kalo's region in X and Y. The forefront of the battle takes place in front of the Prism Tower, and Pikachu and Pikmin's Olimar can be seen staring each other down.

"Pic of the day. Here's the Prism Tower stage for the 3DS version! The battle begins on ground level right in front of the tower," game developer wrote Masahiro Sakurai on the Nintendo Miiverse. See the image here.

He continued, "You'll have to climb the tower by securing footholds like these moving platforms!" See that picture here.  "By the time you reach the top, the sun is already setting. The view from up there is quite a treat," he concluded with one last picture.

One of the Pic of the Day's from this week also showed the graphical differences in the 3DS version when the game's outlines are on or off.

The image was a simple one; Link and Mario standing on platforms in both pictures, so an easy comparison is seen.

"Pic of the day. Here's a comparison of characters with and without their outlines on the 3DS version. They also give off a different impression in 3D, so customize the look however you like," Sakurai, wrote. See the picture here.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, and now Diddy Kong.

The game is expected out sometime this spring for the Wii U and 3DS, however, Nintendo has not confirmed the date yet.
