In today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day gamers can see Link running through some sort of side scrolling stage as the Villager is seen peeking out from the top.

"Pic of the day. This may look like a side-scrolling action game, but it's actually one of the stages," wrote game developer Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse. See the stage here.

One of the commenters in the Miiverse brought up an interesting point about the stage. They said the level resembles something out of Castlevania. maybe this commenter is on to something, could the game's Simon Belmont be another character added to the game, or is this just a dungeon looking stage?

In yesterday's SSB4 Pic of the Day, Luigi showed off his vacuum pack weapon as Donkey Kong looked on.
Posed inside the SSB battle ring, Luigi had a green glow around his body. DK was seen outside of the ring and appears to be doing his ground pound attack. See the image here.

"Pic of the day. Luigi might be thinking, 'Who would've thought I'd get to show off the Poltergust in Super Smash Bros.?!' Wondering if it's going to suck something in? Yeah, it probably will," wrote Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, and now Diddy Kong.

The game is expected out sometime this spring for the Wii U and 3DS, however, Nintendo has not confirmed the date yet.
