Super Smash Bros 4's Little Mac 'Hulks' Up Against Pikmin's Olimar in Wii U Pic of the Day

In today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day Little Mac is not so little anymore as it appears he hit the gym and is enraged at Pikmin's Olimar.

"Under certain circumstances, the creatures on this planet appear to grow larger and go berserk. The Pikmin and I must be cautious lest we lose our heads to these beasts," wrote game developer Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.

A "Hulked" out and scowling Little Mac stares intimidatingly at Olimar in the SSB4 boxing arena. See the pic here.

Friday's Pic of the Day took a trip back to the 70s with a classic Pong Assist Trophy.
"The unexpected Assist Trophy, the TV-Game 15! Color TV-Game 15 is a home entertainment system that was released in 1977 in Japan before the release of Space Invaders. This is the oldest game to join the Smash Bros. series," wrote Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.

In the picture the Pong paddles and score are on the screen. As the ball travels back and fourth it hits all the enemies on the way. It appears to be a match between Zero Suit Samus and Samus. See the picture here.

"Normally, controllers for these types of games had knobs with variable resistors--these allowed the players to control in-game movement by how far they twisted the knobs. The TV-Game 15 used microswitches instead. We've worked a little too hard to reenact the behavior of the original, so the paddles always move in linear paths with the same, consistent speed. We pay attention to such peculiar details!" he continued.

The characters that are confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Charizard, Shiek, and Yoshi.

The game will launch this summer for the 3DS and in the winter for the Wii U.
