Super Smash Bro 4's latest Pic of the Day shows off the game's newest addition, Lucario, as he is flying through the level.

"Pic of the day. When Lucario shoots out Aura from its hands to fly with ExtremeSpeed, you can control its flight direction. If Lucario's Aura is fully charged, it can fly extremely far, so be careful not to accidentally launch out of the area," Masahiro Sakurai said on Nintendo's Miiverse. See the picture here.

Lucario was announced last week, and this will be his second time joining the frenzy of fighter's after previously appearing in the Wii's Brawl.

"Pic of the day. The heroic Aura Pokémon, Lucario, joins the battle!! We've increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with," Sakurai posted to the Miiverse in the revelation. See the picture here.

Lucario is a very popular character in the Pokemon franchise and plays a key part in X and Y as he is one of the Pokemon who mega evolves, and the first demonstrated in the game.

"Lucario joined the battle for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released six years ago. The production staff of Brawl worked really hard to expand the character roster--without their efforts, Lucario probably never would have joined the battle," Sakurai posted last week.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, King Dedede, and the Villager. Lucario makes character 22.
