‘Super Smash Bros 4’ Release Date, Rumors: New Characters Include Pac-Man, Palutena, Mii Fighters

Nintendo's Super Smash Bros 4 will not be released until October 2014, but a number of teasers were already unveiled at the recently concluded E3 last June 10 to 12.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Amie demonstrated a Super Smash Bro battle to give fans and experts a good idea of what the game has to offer.

An official Nintendo press release stated that Super Smash Bro 4 will include three new characters: Pac-man, Palutena, and Mii Fighters. As it is known, Lady Palutena first emerged in as a goddess from the Kid Icarus franchise, which undoubtedly will bring more patrons once it hits Nintendo Wii U consoles.

On the other hand, Mii Fighters are completely fresh characters to Nintendo's highest selling franchise, Super Smash Bros.

Players can also customize defense, offense, and speed strategies as well as three different fighting styles namely brawler, swordfighter, and gunner.

In an interview with IGN last May, game director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that Super Smash Bros 3D provides users with multiplayer capabilities as well as playing on online servers. The multiplayer platform is categorized as "For Fun" and "For Glory," reported IGN.

In addition to that, Nintendo released a new enemy from the Sonic franchise named Eggrobo.

"Here's Dr. Eggman's machine, Eggrobo. It'll appear as a guest character in Smash Run and attacks you with laser beams," Sakurai said in the game description.
