In today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day, a 3DS screenshot shows off the difference between the characters having an outline on them and not having one. The line makes the characters "pop" differently when the handheld's 3D setting is put on.

The image is a simple one; Link and Mario standing on platforms in both pictures, so an easy comparison is seen.

"Pic of the day. Here's a comparison of characters with and without their outlines on the 3DS version. They also give off a different impression in 3D, so customize the look however you like," Masahiro Sakurai, the game's developer, to the Nintendo Miiverse. See the picture here.

In yesterday's Pic of the Day, Toon Link was featured.

"Pic of the day. Never bully Cuccos. Seriously, attacking them is out of the question! This has always been a cardinal rule of The Legend of Zelda series," wrote Masahiro Sakurai in the Pic of the Day on the Nintendo Miiverse. See the image here.

In the picture Toon Link looks like he is about to toss a chicken as a weapon, something this bird does not look too thrilled about.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, and now Diddy Kong.

The game is expected out sometime this spring for the Wii U and 3DS, however, Nintendo has not confirmed the date yet.
