Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day Reveals Pokemon X and Y's Charizard Mega Evolution Final Smash Attack (PICTURES)

In today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day Charizard is given two picture slots to show off some of his major attacks.

"Here's Charizard's new special attack, Flare Blitz. It's a very powerful attack--however, you'll take recoil damage if you make contact. Pretty true to the original game, huh? Flare Blitz is Charizard's side special move, and Rock Smash is the down special move," wrote game developer Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.

In the picture Charizard is seen lighting up the stage with fire as Diddy Kong is sent through the air. See the picture here.

A second picture features Charizard in his alternate Mega Evolution flying through the sky. See the picture here.

"And here's Mega Charizard X. This will appear as Charizard's Final Smash," wrote Sakurai.

Yesterday's Pic of the Day revealed the original design for Little Mac. He started as a green wire frame model.

"Pic of the day. Here's wire frame Little Mac--re-envisioned from the original Punch-Out!! game. The man that actually drew the pixel art wire frame in the original was none other than Shigeru Miyamoto. He said he drew the pixels for the wire frame on graph paper," wrote game developer Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.

In the picture, a green framed Mac is packing a wallop to Legend of Zelda's Link. See the picture here.

The characters that are confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Charizard, Shiek, and Yoshi.

The game will launch this summer for the 3DS and in the winter for the Wii U.
