One of Super Smash Bros 4's latest Pic of the Day revealed Sonic with some sort of large item battling against Kid Icarus Lead character, Pit.

"Pic of the day. Here's a giant attack item, the Ore Club! It's made of minerals mined on the mountain of the gods. This bulky weapon can even unleash tornadoes," Masahiro Sakurai wrote in the Nintendo Miiverse. See the image here.

In the previous Pic of the Day Sakurai showed off the outline features of the game for the 3DS. The line makes the characters "pop" differently when the handheld's 3D setting is put on.

The image is a simple one; Link and Mario standing on platforms in both pictures, so an easy comparison is seen.

"Pic of the day. Here's a comparison of characters with and without their outlines on the 3DS version. They also give off a different impression in 3D, so customize the look however you like," Masahiro Sakurai, the game's developer, to the Nintendo Miiverse. See the picture here.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, and now Diddy Kong.

The game is expected out sometime this spring for the Wii U and 3DS, however, Nintendo has not confirmed the date yet.
