Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day Reveals Boomerang Item as Female and Male Wii Fit Trainers Test it Out
In today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day a new boomerang item was revealed by feuding Wii Fit Trainers.
"Here's a new item that we've thrown in--the boomerang. As you'd guess, it'll fly back into your hands after you throw it, and if you keep catching it, its attack power grows with each throw! However, opponents can nab the boomerang out of the air, so it might be an easier item to use in Smash Run," wrote game director Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.
In the picture the Female Wii Fit Trainer is seen flinging the boomerang at her male counterpart. This version of the item appears to be a lot bigger than Link's boomerang, which in comparison can not be intercepted. See the image here.
Earlier this week a new level was featured for the Wii U version of the game. "Here's a new Wii U stage, Mushroom Kingdom U! It brings to life the worlds of New Super Mario Bros. U," wrote Sakurai.
The picture features Mario, Sonic, MegaMan, and Rosalina on various platforms throughout the level. See the image here.
"When Kamek casts a spell, the stage transforms drastically! That said, this is not what you would call a moving stage"¦" continued Sakurai. ""¦By the way, this stage will be playable in the demo version of the game for E3, a game expo that starts on June 10 in Los Angeles."
In the next picture the stage is completely transformed and switches backgrounds, platforms, and waterfalls begin spouting up. See the image here.
The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Charizard, Shiek, Yoshi, and now Ike.
The game will launch this summer for the 3DS and in the winter for the Wii U.
