Super Smash Bros 4 released a new Pic of the Day today that showcases Samus and Star Fox battling in front of what appears to Wily's factory from MegaMan.

"Pic of the day. Now consecutive standard attacks will always transition into a finishing move. This is Fox's finishing kick after his standard combo attack," wrote game developer Masahiro Sakurai on the Nintendo Miiverse. See the picture here.

Yesterday's Pic of the Day showcased two classic match-ups for their Nintendo characters; Mario vs Bowser and Kirby vs King Dedede.

The first picture shows Super Mario and Bowser squaring off in a four sided boxing style ring. There is a crowd in the background, a jumbo screen, and pyro.

The second photo Sakurai posted shows off a second ring design which is also Little Mac's stage. King Dedede and Kirby face-off in this old school matchup.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, and now Diddy Kong.

The game is expected out sometime this spring, however, Nintendo has not confirmed the date yet.
