Super Smash Bros 4's newest Pic of the Day shows off a character who was teased as a new addition to the roster but wound up being an awards trophy.

The character, Lightning Flash Phosphora, is a powerful female boss from Kid Icarus: Uprising. In the game she uses strong electrical attacks to fight, hence her name.

"The most powerful commander of the Forces of Nature, Lightning Flash Phosphora!!" Masahiro Sakurai teased on the Nintendo Miiverse. ""¦is a Trophy. The detail in her scarf is amazing." See the first picture here and the second here.

In yesterday's Pic of the Day, Diddy Kong was seen testing out one of his special attacks on a now very upset Bowser.

"Pic of the day. The Peanut Popgun now deals a powerful attack when it explodes. It'll be difficult to hit your target, but when you succeed, the explosion will really blow your enemies away. Give it a shot when you break someone's shield," game developer Masahiro Sakurai wrote in the Nintendo Miiverse.

In the picture Diddy Kong is seen blasting Bowser with this powerful attack on what appears to be the wing of a plane. See that image here.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, and now Diddy Kong.

The game is expected out sometime this spring for the Wii U and 3DS, however, Nintendo has not confirmed the date yet.
