Today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day revealed a new Assist Trophy that gave Sonic the Hedgehog quite the stare down.

The character is Dillon from Dillon's Rolling Western on the 3DS, and he seems non-to-pleased to see Sonic. Sonic's expression looks as if the feeling is mutual. See the picture here.

"Pic of the day. We didn't introduce ALL of the Assist Trophies in the Smash Bros. Direct. Here's Dillon from Dillon's Rolling Western!! He may rival Sonic in the art of rolling," wrote game developer Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse forum.

He continued, "Pic of the day. This is his trophy. He may be an animal, and his buckles are definitely on the adorable side, but there's no denying he looks cool!! His Assist Trophy can even do things like a quick charge." See that picture here.

Yesterday's Pic of the Day featured Mario and Orne from Kid Icarus in a battle.

"Pic of the day. The menacing foe, Orne! It inflicts devastating damage--it's even more powerful than the Ultimate Chimera in the last game. RUNNN!!" wrote game director Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse forum.

In the picture, Mario is seen jumping as a green skull with little skulls coming out of its mouth is right behind him. The entire background is a purple haze, and the Italian plumber is under attack. The enemy, Orne, is Pit's foe from Kid Icarus Uprising. See the image here.

The characters that are confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Charizard, Shiek, and Yoshi.

The game will launch this summer for the 3DS and in the winter for the Wii U.
