Super Smash Bros 4 New Characters: Mike Tyson's Punch-out's Little Mac Joins Roster in Pic of the Day (VIDEO)

Yesterday's Nintendo Direct revealed a new character for the Super Smash Bros franchise, and now the roster has gotten a lot more nostalgic.

Mike Tyson's Punch-out for the original Nintendo is lending their lead character Little Mac to SSB4. Little Mac's battle's against the biggest and toughest fighters in the Nintendoverse have made him a legendary and fan favorite character since his creation.

"Pic of the day. From Punch-out!!, our boxing challenger Little Mac joins the battle!! To get a glimpse of his fearsome punches, check out the newest video or visit the official web site," Masahiro Sakurai posted on the Miiverse. See a picture here.

Sakurai gave gamer's a two-for glimpse of the game earlier this week when he released two Pic's of the Day at once.

In the new screenshots, SSB4 welcomes back its signature homerun bat, and this time it is painted black.

"Pic of the day. The Home-run Bat in this game is black! And it's so powerful that your eyes might bug out!!" Sakurai wrote on the Nintendo Miiverse.

In the first picture Toon Link is seen swinging for the fences on Donkey Kong. In the second picture, an alternative view is given that sees the battered primate flying through the air and off the screen. "And here's a look at a home run exiting the arena," the caption read.

The homerun bat is the most powerful weapon in the game, and if the opponent is beaten up just enough, it almost guarantees a victory upon connection.

SSB4 is rumored to be coming out for the Wii U and 3DS sometime in March, although there has been no confirmation from Nintendo yet as the hype has been building.
