With Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. 4 coming to excited fans this Fall, 2014, players are already looking out for which characters are going to be included on the roster. There hasn't been a complete list yet, but some characters are already confirmed, others did not make the cut, and still some remain rumored.

The characters in the roster come from the various game universes that were created by Nintendo, so it comes to no surprise that the diversity will be a major component.

The standard characters present from previous Smash games will still be there. Favorites like Mario, Link, Zelda, Donkey Kong, King Dedede, Princess Peach, Kirby, Sonic, and Bowser will still be making their appearance. The current list can be seen here.

Listed within the roster are newcomers that are making their debut in SSB4. Pac-man from the Pac-man universe is making his way in the super popular fighting game.

Among others are Palutena from the Zelda games, the Mii fighters from the Mii universe, Greninja from Pokemon, Little Mac from the Punch-out! universe, Rosalina and Luma from the Mario universe, the Villager from the Animal Crossing universe, Mega-man from the Mega-man universe, and surprisingly the Wii Fit Trainer will also be included in the list of characters.

There are also rumors of other characters making it to the game, but have not been confirmed yet. Ness from the Earthbound universe for example is unconfirmed. Others too are rumored to make an appearance in the roster like Captain Falcon from the F-Zero universe, Mr. Game & Watch from the Game & Watch universe, the Ice Climbers from the Ice Climbers universe, as well as Meta Knight from the Kirby universe.
