Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day features Toon Link, as the character has not made too many appearances in the daily screen shots.

"Pic of the day. Never bully Cuccos. Seriously, attacking them is out of the question! This has always been a cardinal rule of The Legend of Zelda series," wrote Masahiro Sakurai in the Pic of the Day on the Nintendo Miiverse. See the image here.

In the picture Toon Link looks like he is about to toss a chicken as a weapon, something this bird does not look too thrilled about.

Friday's Pic of the Day showed off a character who was teased as a new addition to the roster but wound up being an awards trophy.

The character, Lightning Flash Phosphora, is a powerful female boss from Kid Icarus: Uprising. In the game she uses strong electrical attacks to fight, hence her name.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, and now Diddy Kong.

The game is expected out sometime this spring for the Wii U and 3DS, however, Nintendo has not confirmed the date yet.
