Super Smash Bros 4 Characters: Pic of the Day Features Original Wire Frame Little Mac Punching Out Link (PICTURE)

In today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day the original version of Little Mac is showed off in the boxing ring arena as he provides Link with a one-two punch.

"Pic of the day. Here's wire frame Little Mac--re-envisioned from the original Punch-Out!! game. The man that actually drew the pixel art wire frame in the original was none other than Shigeru Miyamoto. He said he drew the pixels for the wire frame on graph paper," wrote game developer Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.

In the picture, a green framed Mac is packing a wallop to Legend of Zelda's Link. See the picture here.

Last week Sakurai featured the new targeting system for Kirby's air ride attack.

""Pic of the day. Uniting three parts will complete the legendary Air Ride machine"¦the Dragoon! It's back! But we didn't just leave it the way it was, and added some nice touches to the design of the targeting screen. It is, of course, in stereoscopic 3D on the 3DS. Just the target screen felt lacking so here's a pic of the Dragoon itself. I wanna get on it. I wanna get on and ride it," wrote Sakurai.

This featured two pictures; the top focused on Donkey Kong being targeted as Kid Icarus was standing nearby. The second picture showed Kirby on his air vehicle locking in. See the picture here.

The characters that are confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Charizard, Shiek, and Yoshi.

The game will launch this summer for the 3DS and in the winter for the Wii U.
