'Super Smash Bros 4' 3DS, Wii U News, Reviews: Little Mac Overpowered? Stages Factor into Character Strength?

A game like the new 'Super Smash Bros' doesn't come out every year. The franchise arguably has the largest following, even more so than other fighting franchises such as 'Mortal Kombat' and 'Tekken'. Some believe that the games' popularity stems from the likable and relatable characters, along with the unique play style that comes along in every series title.

With the new list of playable fighters in 'Super Smash Brothers 4', some fans were disappointed about the characters that were taken out. For one, Solid Snake has been removed from the game, prompting gamers to complain about it on community forums.

However, when one door closes another one opens, therefore, gamers should look forward to playing some of the new characters that have been added to the franchise. Time time around some of the new characters in the game are much more unique than those seen in the previous versions.

Wii Fit Trainer is definitely one of the more interesting characters in the new version of the game. On that note, Little Mac, from the NES 'Punch-Out!!' title has drawn a lot of attention. Little Mac has been pegged as a character that is overpowered (basically more powerful than other characters from the start), but that's left to interpretation.

Other gamers feel that there is more balance incorporated between the various fighters this time around. Gamer's have noticed that the stages on which the fights take place factor in greatly, as certain characters perform better on certain stages.

'Super Smash Bros 4' is the first SSB title to be released on a portable gaming system, the 3DS. While franchise fans are surely excited about playing that version, many are still looking forward to the upcoming Wii U version. Since the Wii U is a regular full bodied console, the SSB version will contain more content and better graphics.

Gamers can pick up 'Super Smash Bros 4' on the Wii U when it launches November 21, 2014.
