In today's Super Smash Bros 4 Pic of the Day, the image featured a Balloon Fight inspired level for the 3DS.

"Pic of the day. Here's a special stage exclusive to the 3DS version, Balloon Fight!! The stage loops on the left and right sides so you can walk off one side and appear on the other," wrote game director Masahiro Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse.

The picture shows a black starry background with a monster swimming around. Five platforms with a spinning obstacle are part of the layout. See the picture here.

In yesterday's Pic of the Day, Mario and Link showed off the new swords and their mechanics within the game.

"Pic of the day. For the first time in the Smash series, Beam Swords will feature graduated colors. The attack item on the left is the Fire Bar. This is a peculiar weapon that becomes shorter after each swing," wrote Sakurai in the Nintendo Miiverse. See the image here.

In the picture Mario is seen using the new Fire Bar sword, and Link can be seen duel wielding his sword and the Beam Sword. They are standing in the middle of the Smash Arena.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Charizard, Shiek, and Yoshi.

The game will launch this summer for the 3DS and in the winter for the Wii U.
