'Storage Wars' Cast: 3 Main Cast Members Dropped for Season 5? / 'Storage Wars: Texas' Spin Off / A&E Denies Cast Cuts
Storage Wars, on A&E, are reportedly dropping three main characters from the cast of the show. According to Radar Online Dan Dotson, Laura Dotson and Darell Sheets will not be on the popular show any more.
"It seems as if they are going after some of the higher paid cast members," a source told Radar Online. "And meanwhile they are expanding the franchise."
A&E denies the report claiming no Storage Wars cast members will be dropped. However, not every character will appear in every episode.
Previous Storage Wars cast member Dave Hester filed a lawsuit against the show's producers Original Productions, claiming he was "wrongfully" terminated and that show is staged.
The court ultimately threw out Hester's case, asking for more specifics regarding the alleged termination. Still, rumors of cast cut backs refuse to stop popping up around the Internet.
The Radar Online source claims the reason for dropping three main cast members is money. Storage Wars producers believe the bidders and auctioneers are being paid too much.
"The show has a few months before the deadline to offer contracts for its next season. Sheets and Dan and Laura don't know what's going to happen to them. They could be replaced with cheaper talent," says the Storage Wars insider.
Storage Wars, back for a fifth season, is a popular show on A&E that follows professional auction bidders who purchase storage lockers hoping to find valuable items to auction off at higher prices. Because of ratings success Storage Wars has spun off into two separate series: Storage Wars: New York and Storage Wars: Texas.
