Sting's WWE Debut News, Returning to Wrestling Rumors: 'WWE 2K15' Appearance Sparks Return to the Ring Rumors

Rumors of Sting debuting in WWE have continued to plague the Internet after fans saw the new 'WWE 2K15' game trailer featuring the former WCW superstar ready for a wrestling match in the WWE ring.

Sting was reportedly scheduled to appear on Hulk Hogan's birthday bash Monday at WWE Monday Night Raw Aug. 11, 2014, but failed to show up. Speculations now surface that the 15-time world wrestling champion may appear on Summer Slam PPV itself, when it airs Saturday.

The rumored debut fight is said to be a clash between Sting and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, or even Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway, next year in Wrestlemania.

On that note, The Undertaker, an original of WWE, welcomed Sting with open arms in his company.

Their match, however, might be moved to a different season after The Undertaker suffered a legitimate injury in a battle he lost to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania XXX last April. WWE now opts to pit Sting with Lesnar, who has since won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Sting said that aside from Lesnar, Triple H is also a possible opponent.

The WWE website has been releasing episodes of WCW Monday Nitro, which consistently featured Sting as the main wrestling star.

Sting's words have made him a crowd favorite and one of the most popular fighters in the wrestling world.

Enthusiasts expect WWE to maximize Sting's remaining years in the arena in consideration of his age. Sting is 55-years-old and is not expected to stay in the wrestling business longer than his younger contemporaries like John Cena or Johnson.

The WWE and Sting are expected to enter into an agreement soon to see the wrestling champion back in the game.
