Sting WWE Debut Date Rumors: WCW Champion Twitter Hints Monday Night Raw Episode Appearance
In latest World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) news, Sting hinted in a recent tweet that he might finally make his long-awaited WWE debut on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw.
"07.14.14," wrote Sting via Twitter on July 8, along with a black and white photo of him wearing his iconic black and white face paint.
Sting's tweet has many people speculating he will appear on Raw since the next episode ironically takes place at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia on July 14, 2014.
Unlike most professional wrestlers, Sting does not post a lot of messages on Twitter, so when he finally writes anything on social media it carries a lot of weight. Sting's (whose real name is Steve Borden) most recent tweet [prior his last Twitter message on Tuesday] was on April 10 when he posted the following message in tribute to the passing of his former tag team partner, (formerly known as Blade Runner Rock) The Ultimate Warrior:
"Mourning the loss of Jim Hellwig. I don't believe anyone has ever published this picture before today. The snapshot was taken two days before Thanksgiving in 1985, as we prepared to leave my house in Newhall, California and embark on a career in wrestling," wrote Sting on Twitter three months ago when he posted a vintage photo of him and The Ultimate Warrior when they were part of a tag team called the Blade Runners in Universal Wrestling Federation.
"Jim always challenged me to strive at being the best, and I'll forever be grateful for the encouragement and motivation he provided. I was looking forward to catching up with him, and I'm saddened we didn't have that opportunity before he passed. My heart goes out to his wife Dana and their two daughters, and they will remain in my prayers," he concluded
Ultimate Warrior appeared in the WWE 2K14 last year, which was the first time the late wrestler appeared in a WWE game in nearly two decades. Some people speculate that Sting's "07.14.14" Twitter post might be hinting that he will appear in a WWE videogame for the first time ever when the upcoming WWE 2K15 debuts this fall, instead of widespread rumors that claims he will be making his actual WWE debut in person this Monday.
In a new interview, former WWE announcer Jim Ross revealed on the Steve Austin Show that Sting will appear in this year's WWE 2K15 game, despite the fact there is no official announcement regarding Sting's involvement in the wrestling game so far.
"He's in the big 2K15 game, Sting is. That's a big deal!, said Ross to Austin on the podcast show.
WWE 2K15 will arrive in American stores on October 28 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
WWE Monday Night Raw airs every week at 8/7 CT on the USA Network.
