Sting WWE Debut 2014 Latest News: Returning to Battle Undertaker or Triple H at WrestleMania 31
In latest WWE news and rumors, Sting revealed in a new interview that he is close to finally signing a deal with the sports entertainment company after the legend met with Vince McMahon, possibly for the first time ever.
"Yeah, I open to that, definitely I'm open to whatever what doors may or may not being open. I mean, I love the [professional wrestling] business...so yeah, I could see myself being an ambassador [for the WWE]," said Sting to the 'Between The Ropes' show in an interview.
He added, "Yeah, you know, I think we're close [to agreeing a deal with the WWE], you'll see me again!"
In addition, former WWE talent evaluator and HOF announcer Jim Ross (aka Good Ol' JR) recently went on Twitter to confirm the first ever face-to-face meeting between Sting (whose real name is Steve Borden) and Vince McMahon over the weekend in Los Angeles where Sunday's WWE SummerSlam PPV event took place at the Staples Center.
"@clx402: @JRsBBQ when would you bring out Sting? Which ppv?" WM31....Ross Report podcast @PodcastOne... Listen to it," wrote JR via Twitter on August 17.
However, Sting was there to promote the roster reveal for the upcoming WWE 2K15, where the veteran wrestler will become a playable player in a WWE videogame for the first time ever.
"No it doesn't diminish things. I did have a moment of, 'Ah it's over, I'll never be able to get in the ring with 'Taker,'" said Sting to Sam Roberts on 'The Sam Roberts Show' in an interview in reference to his potential match with 'The Dead man'.
"Because he's lost doesn't mean he's done or leaving. I can't imagine 'Taker leaving or being done. I just cannot imagine that. I don't know what's going on with him for sure but man, I think 'Taker vs. Sting doesn't need a Streak storyline. We just need 'Taker and Sting and that's it," he mentioned
Sting also mentioned that he would like to face Triple H or John Cena if The Undertaker plans to retire after 'The Phenom' lost his match (and his previous 21-0 undefeated streak) to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 this past April.
'WWE 2K15' will arrive in American stores on October 28 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
