Foxcatcher Premiere Date, Trailer Video Released: Steve Carrell and Channing Tatum New Movie Coming November 2014

It's refreshing to see an actor who's usually in comedy scenes taking on a dramatic or serious film role. This time, funny man Steve Carrell is starring in a new dramatic sports film with Channing Tatum, called 'Foxcatcher'. With the film set for a November 14, 2014 premiere, the producers are promoting the movie with its recently released trailer.

As director Bennett Miller's new film rapidly approaches, there are already several critiques of the film, especially on the topic of Carrell's role of John du Pont.

While some are critical about Carrell's dramatic role, Miller feels otherwise, "That it's not obvious was part of the reason why it was right, because who we think [du Pont] is and who he turns out to be are very different things. I think some of the more obvious choices would have not worked, because right off the bat, you would put them in a category," Miller revealed to Entertainment Weekly recently.

He went on to defend that Carrell suits this character best, "But having spoken to Steve about the story and a little bit about life, it just felt like one of those opportunities that would permit him to reveal an aspect of himself and hitherto unrevealed talents that he had. It was an occasion to arise to for him. I remember feeling, 'Well, if it could work with him, there really is nobody better suited to it."

It seems like an intense film especially when the production showed a scene where Tatum was smashing his head onto the mirror depicting his anger or frustration. It is a heavy film based on a true story about an Olympic Wrestling Champion Mark Schultz and it is surely a film to look forward to this year.
