When Harrison Ford reprises his role as wisecracking hero Han Solo in Star Wars Episode 7, his character will be flying the iconic Millennium Falcon, according to new leaked news about the film that is sure to delight fans of the sci-fi franchise.

Recently some on-set photos from the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode 7" movie were leaked online. Multiple news outlets revealed photos that show the spacecraft halfway complete on the set of the film.

"Star Wars Episode 7 -- Holy Crap, It's the Millennium Falcon ... Right?!? [PHOTOS]," wrote TMZ via Twitter, while showing the photos on June 3.

Another website also showed the leaked pics of the spacecraft that will be piloted once again by Solo and his first mate Chewbacca, just like in the original trilogy.

"Episode VII Millennium Falcon Revealed. Twenty Two New Shots Including More Space Rhino/Pig," tweeted FLYGUY on Tuesday.

In another interview, Ford talked about returning to the sci-fi franchise decades after it first began.

"I'm just delighted to be involved. We haven't started filming yet but we have a great script and a wonderful cast," he said. "JJ Abrams is a director at the top of his game and I'm looking forward to it. It'll be great fun," according to a Metro report in May.

Ford has always admitted in the past that he believes Han Solo's character was not as "interesting" as his other signature action hero role, Indiana Jones.

"He's got a good heart, but I think he's certainly a much less interesting character than Indiana Jones," said Ford to Entertainment Weekly last month. "The breadth of his story utility was never extensive. He was the foil between the other more compelling elements of the film, between the sage old warrior and the young hero. There's not much breadth of character to explore beyond what we got out of him."

"Star Wars Episode 7" is set to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2015.
