Star Wars Episode 7 Movie Plot, Cast Update: Has Zach Effron Been Cast for New Star Wars Movie?

"Star Wars Episode Seven" is the source of endless speculation on storylines, casting. Recently we've seen the possibilities and rumors narrow down a few of the stars that might be taking major roles. Who will we see taking up the mantle of the next heroes of the Star Wars galaxy? And what about the villains?

One commonly circulated possibility that Zach Effron has been casted for a major role in the film. Effron has been slippery in the extreme about the chance that he has been called for a role in the film.

Effron was asked at the Oscars about the possibility being true: he responded suggestively saying: "Is it true? I don't even know yet." And later adding "I guess the force is with me tonight."

Was he insinuating that he had, in fact, been chosen for the rule? The speculation continues to roar around his possible selection.

Who else might we see in front of the camera in this next film? Several names are being touted as likely actors for the new roles of the rebooted series, especially likely it seems, are the rumors about some very talented recruits to the Dark Side.

The much beloved diversely talented and distinctive Benedict Cumberbatch may be appearing in the film as one of the lead villains. This applies also to Gary Oldman, a veteran actor who's appeared in dozens of films, who may have been approached for the same role.

A somewhat surprising casting choice may have been made for the placement of Adam Driver of Girls fame as the main villain. Knowledge obtained from sources that Driver has turned down several substantial roles in the past months may point at least to his strong belief that he has a possible role in the next film.

There has been a confirmed release date of VII for December 18, 2015, and it seems like there will be no shortage of people around the country waiting for its release. Until then, it seems there's a lot we still have left to know.
