Star Wars Episode 7 Movie Cast News: 'Transformers 4' Star Jack Reynor Joining Film
The Star Wars Episode 7 movie is set to begin shooting in May, and the newest cast rumors links "Transformers 4" star Jack Reynor as one of the new stars appearing in the upcoming film.
Jack Reynor is an Irish actor director Michael Bay chose from anonymity to star in the newest Transformers film which also stars Mark Wahlberg.
According to an Ain't It Cool report, numerous sources allege Reynor has been added to the Star Wars: Episode 7 cast in an unidentified role.
The reports have been speculating that Star Wars: Episode 7 will present the children of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, and Reynor unquestionably fits the Skywalker mold.
The 22-year-old actor could play a supportive role in Episode 7, while taking a bigger role in the following films similar to Al Pacino's role as Michael Corleone in the Godfather Trilogy.
While Reynor is mostly unknown in the U.S., that is about to change this summer when he stars in Transformers 4. While that movie has raised his profile, it is possible that the deal he signed with the Transformers films could prevent him from joining J.J. Abrams' Star Wars movies.
Other actors alleged for roles in Star Wars: Episode 7 include: Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons, Gary Oldman, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Whether any of those names will still be involved once casting is definite and revealed remains to be seen.
