Star Wars Episode 7 Movie Plot & Cast Update: Actress Natalie Portman Devastated at Exclusion
Oscar-winning actress, Natalie Portman, who starred as Queen Padme Amidala in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy, is reportedly extremely disappointed at being left out of the upcoming latest installment in the Star Wars franchise - Episode 7.
Portman's character passed away when she gave birth to twins Luke Skywalker and Leia in the "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith" film that was released in theaters in 2005.
Due to Padme's heartbreaking story in the Lucasfilms prequel trilogy, it is extremely doubtful she will make an appearance in the upcoming Star Wars movie, much to Natalie's disappointment, as she would be missing out on an opportunity to work with the legendary director JJ Abrams.
When asked by Movie Pilot what her opinions regarding Episode VII, she made the following statement.
"I am so excited about them. I think JJ Abrams is such a talent and I can't wait to see what he does. I am only sorry that my character died, which means I can't be in them. I saw him somewhere and I said 'How did this happen?' I can't believe I'm not going to be in the new movie."
In the meantime, Abrams is very busy putting together the cast for the upcoming movie, which does not include Transformers 4 star Jack Reynor, but could allegedly include Judi Dench, Michael B Jordan, Gary Oldman, Michael Fassbender and Zac Efron.
The director is gearing up to begin shooting on Episode 7, which is expected to be taking place from May to September according to a HitFix report.
"Star Wars Episode VII" will make its long awaited return to the big screen on December 18, 2015.
