Star Wars Episode 7 Movie Cast, Plot News: Mark Hamill Reveals Spoilers, Harrison Ford's Condition Update [VIDEO]

Legendary Star Wars actor Mark Hamill recently talked about many topics including the current status of his longtime co-star Harrison Ford in the upcoming film.

"It sounded terrible, but I hear he's doing really well. It'll take more than that to stop Harrison Ford," said Hamill to BBC in reference of Ford currently recuperating after he suffered a broken leg injury last month.

In addition, the 62-year-old star from Oakland, California also talked about him (and the other veteran actors) passing the proverbial torch to the brand new cast of young actors, since the newcomers are rumored to have significant roles in the latest installment of the popular science fiction film franchise.

"It's really about the new generation of characters, we are just there to lend our support and grow contractually obligated beards," said Hamill, "These kids... they are so talented, I was just overwhelmed. They are also diverse. There are people I recognize like Andy Serkis and new people I'd never seen before. But they are so good, I am thinking about asking them for advice."

Hamill (Luke Skywalker) also talked about reuniting with his former co-stars Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) from the iconic Star Wars movie trilogy from 1977-1983 (Episodes 4-6).

"I never thought we'd come back. I still can't believe it's happening," said Hamill, "To go on to those sets that evoke so many memories, is just astonishing. I have real ties to this country [England], my son was born when we were making 'Empire Strikes Back' ... it just seems like an unexpected gift."

Star Wars Episode 7 is slated to arrive in movie theaters on December 18, 2015.
