'Star Wars Episode 7' Movie Cast News: Mark Hamill Talks 'The Force Awakens' Spoilers and Rumors [TRAILER]

In latest 'Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens' movie news, legendary actor Mark Hamill revealed many details regarding the upcoming film in which he will reprise his role as the noble Luke Skywalker once again.

"I said to George [Lucas], 'Have you really thought this through? Because maybe it's not such a great idea.' But I had a feeling, I said, 'You know what - if there's a weak link, if Carrie [Fisher] or Harrison [Ford] decides they don't want to do it, there's an out. Because it's all or nothing. It should be all of us or none of us.' So I was ready to go either way. And now that we're all in, we'll see what happens," said Hamill to Yahoo! Movies in a recent interview.

The famed actor also gave his thoughts on the new cast members Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, who are both rumored to have significant roles in the future film.

"...They're all wonderful actors...John Boyega is just wonderful and Daisy, I just think the world of and Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac and Andy Serkis... I'm vicariously very proud of them even though I have no justification for being able to be proud!," said Hamill to IGN in another interview.

In addition, Hamill also gave his thoughts on the new trailer that does not include him or any of the original cast members from the iconic movie trilogy.

"This is about the new generation of characters; I think that's the most important thing. It's the opening act of a whole new approach to the storytelling. So I never thought that the stories would be - first of all, I never thought I'd be involved in it again, period..," said Hamill to Yahoo! Movies.

"This must be our offspring and the current generation, with us there lending the kind of support that Peter Cushing and Alec Guinness did in the original...I'm one of those people where I just think, 'Keep me out of it. I'll ruin it, I'm sure!' [Laughs] I'll show up and just ruin the whole thing."

Hamill also explained that even if he was allowed to reveal major plot spoilers, he would not because it removes the element of surprise for first-time viewers.

"To tell you the truth, I'm one of those people that... I like being surprised. I don't want to read spoilers and I hate it when I go see a trailer and you see this thing and you go, 'Gee, that's pretty much the whole movie." They set up the premise, they show the conflict, they show partial resolution. The only thing they don't show is the end credits," said Hamill.

'Star Wars Episode 7' features the return of Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia Organa), and Harrison Ford as the iconic space cowboy Han Solo in the upcoming film.

'Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens' is set to arrive in movie theaters on December 18, 2015, while 'Star Wars Episode 8' is scheduled to debut in 2017.
